Som Escola students bring their perspective on contemporary art to the Nau 3 Ribes Cultural Center with Panorama Actual, an educational project that connects secondary school students with Valencia’s cultural life. The initiative culminates in an exhibition open to the public until March 23.
This project is part of the Inter-level Project, an educational innovation proposal from the center in which students from all four years of secondary school work together for three days in cooperative teams. Each member assumes a role within the group with the aim of fostering active participation, critical thinking, and truly meaningful learning.
During the process, students have investigated the city’s cultural reality through a collaborative mapping of Valencia, meetings with artists and sector professionals, and guided visits to contemporary art exhibitions.
The project has featured the participation of various creators, including Virginia Escoruela, the collective Teatres de la Llum (Vicent Ortolà and Mariola Ponce), Inma Femenia, Víctor Trescolí, and Guillem Escorihuela, who have shared their creative processes with the students.
The result of all this work is materialized in an exhibition structured into three spaces or “stations”: a collective cultural map of the city, the works created during workshops with guest artists, and a final installation that gathers the concerns and reflections of the youth.
The exhibition can be visited at the Nau 3 Ribes Cultural Center from March 4 to 23.
